Terms of Use for the app “ROAMR”#

1. Licence agreement#

Use of the ROAMR app is governed by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. The points below supplement it. How we handle data is described in the privacy policy.

2. What ROAMR is#

ROAMR is a travel stamp album: you discover landmarks, collect stamps for places you visited and play with friends. A Gold stamp is awarded only when our server has confirmed a visit on site, or when friends confirm a visit you made together. Bronze and Silver are your own statement. We compile place information (texts, facts, photos, zones) carefully but do not guarantee it is complete or current, and ROAMR is not a travel or navigation guide. On site, follow house rules and local restrictions and look after your safety; never enter closed areas to collect a place.

3. Account and fair use#

  • Collection, friends, quiz, place suggestions and the Pass need an account (“Sign in with Apple”). An account is personal.
  • Not allowed: faking locations or manipulating checks, attacking or scraping the app or our servers, harassing others, posting offensive or unlawful content (e.g. in place suggestions or nicknames).
  • In case of violations we may revoke stamps, restrict features or suspend an account. You can delete your account in the app at any time.

4. ROAMR Pass#

Without the Pass, ROAMR is free with limits (e.g. three Gold stamps and a limited number of quiz turns per day). The ROAMR Pass unlocks the extended features described on the purchase screen. It is available as a Year Pass (subscription) and as a “Forever” Pass (one-time purchase).

Subscription terms (Year Pass):

  • Price and duration are shown in the App Store and on the purchase screen before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically for one year at a time at the then current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • If a free trial is offered, the paid subscription starts when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
  • You can manage and cancel the subscription any time in your Apple Account settings (Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions). Deleting the app or your ROAMR account does not cancel it.
  • Refunds follow Apple’s rules (reportaproblem.apple.com).

“Forever” Pass: a one-time purchase with no subscription and no renewal, valid for the ROAMR account it was bought with for as long as ROAMR is offered.

Use “Restore purchases” to restore purchases on a new device.

5. Liability#

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential obligations and limited to the foreseeable, typical damage.

6. Changes and final provisions#

We may change these terms when the app changes; we announce material changes in the app. German law applies; mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. Contact: hello@pakumedia.de.
